      Introduction & Announcements

Meeting's note: [TBD after the meeting.]

      Announcements:

      • Huge congratulations to Doctor Zhiyu Zhao for his very nice PhD defense yesterday, finalising 5 years of excellent work !!!
        • For the many PhD students that were present during the PhD defense : I highly recommend that you take inspiration from Zhiyu's excellent slides, and by his oral preparation too. (But a special emphasis on the slides, which I personally found to be extremely well written).

      • Do not forget about the Special Lectures by Prof. Evgeny Soldatov this afternoon at 2pm (cf. the many emails and reminders about it)

      • [optional: indicate which project/analysis it refers to] item 2

    • 10:05 10:10
      Status 5m
      Speaker: Zhijing Zhang (TDLI, SJTU)

      [Today's focus:]

      [STCF]:

      • By applying a consistency selection between the upstream and downstream tracker segments, events with significant scattering angles greater than 5 mrad were rejected, the position resolution at 1 GeV was improved.
      • Tested different rear-face wrapping configurations, an aluminum end flange with and without epoxy, and several optical parameters, and I also introduced air gaps between the WLS coating and Teflon and varied the surface roughness and reflectivity. The air-gap model reduced the light output near the APD. These preliminary results still need experimental validation.

      [Plans:]

      [DarkSHINE]:

      • Follow zhiyu in conducting experiments to become familiar with the experimental procedures and underlying principles, especially the test of the intrinsic radioactivity of LYSO crystal.

      [STCF]:

      • Continue optimizing the simulated α-particle light-output position distribution and the beam-test position-resolution curve.

      • Conduct test on the scintillation decay time of pure CsI crystal.

    • 10:10 10:20
      Status 10m
      Speaker: Kang Yu (TDLI, SJTU)

      [VBS ZZ analysis]:

      1. Learn about the definition of polarization observables.
      2. Reproduce part of distribution as functions of the selected observables (without cut)

      ZZγ

      Finished

      MC sample request

      • Completed the overall structure of the MC request ticket.
      • Prepared and checked all ZZγ-related components; no issues were found with the validation/checking script.
      • 4ℓγ integration: the job is currently running the final 2→7 subprocess; the current estimate is ~3 days remaining.
      • The original 16-core job stayed idle due to limited batch resources, so it was resubmitted with 4 cores, which allowed it to start but significantly increased the integration time.
      • The remaining ticket information will be filled in once the integration log is confirmed.

      EasyJet framework

      • Rewrote and improved the README.md to provide a clear end-to-end setup and running procedure.
      • Fixed the previous compilation/build issues.
      • Performed a final review of the implemented selections and made several corrections.

      Plans

      MC sample request / validation

      • Start producing the required validation plots using the Rivet routine and prepare the corresponding validation material for the approval discussion.

      EasyJet framework

      • Complete the final checks of the ZZγ EasyJet implementation.
      • Share the framework with other analysis members for independent validation and feedback.

      HGTD

      • Review HGTD documentation and prepare for the AQP task once the detailed scope is defined.

    • 10:30 10:40
      Status 10m
Speaker: Jun Wei Lok (TDLI, SJTU)
      • Hardware Thermal Testing: Evaluated chip temperature rise across various waveform amplitudes. The results show a direct increase in surface/junction temperature as amplitude rises.
      • TINA-TI Simulation: Simulated the circuit using TINA-TI to analyze power dissipation under matching signal conditions.
    • 10:40 10:50
      Status 10m
      Speaker: Zelin Yan (TDLI, SJTU)

      [Today's focus:]

      • Wlllv analysis:
        • Finish all Wlllv WZ ZZ ntuple production with new ptag, grl and all systematics.
        • Add ttX into consideration(small contributions in our analysis).
        • Train model and predict MVA score with new ntuples.
      • HGTD FELIX Monitoring:
        • Insert all vars into WinCC OA like HardwareMon, LockMon and LinkMon.
      • H2a4b analysis:
        • Finish LLP ntuple production.
      • Others:
        • take wafer shift in Monday and Tuesday.

      [Next plans:]

      Today's focus:

      [ssWW]:

      • Insightful discussion with our colleagues at USTC. New direction(s) to be followed for the next week(s).

      [Hyy*]:

      • Comments (for the paper) related to the fake templates and the corresponding Figure 2 have been addressed. A .pdf file has been shared to the group on MatterMost with additional studies following the reviewer's recommendations.

      [ZZy]:

      • Validations plots for Easyjet have been done (but on the older version, might need to be refreshed as Linjing informed that there were some code changes).
      • On the organisation side, it is going rather very smoothly. New group meetings to be soon organised near the end of September.

      [VBS_KappaLambda]:

      • A complete new UFO model created with FeynRules. It should allow to probe everything through the Higgs Potential original parameters (i.e. mu squared and lambda). Some choices were made (keeping the gauge and yukawa as independants), and everything is documented.
      • Last step would require using Wolfram Mathematica: Still some issues to access it through TDLI. In contact with the responsible.

      [HIGP]:

      • Everything is going smoothly on the production side.

      Plans:

      • [ssWW]: Plan to finally present the unfolding studies. Internally first, and to analysis group right after.
      • [VBS_KappaLambda]: Aim to go back to detector level realistic conditions.
      • No direct plan on the other topics, other than continuing what is already ongoing.
