Abstract:

We revisit the growth of curvature perturbations in the non-minimal curvaton scenario with a non-trivial field metric $\lambda(\phi)$ and involve the contribution arising from the non-uniform onset of curvaton oscillation in terms of an axion-like potential. The field metric $\lambda(\phi)$ plays a central role in the enhancement of the curvaton field perturbation $\delta\chi$, which acts as an effective friction term. Our results turn out that the dynamics of curvaton perturbation during inflation is not only determined by the depth of the dip, but also strongly affected by its shape which is not pointed out in previous works.
