Description

Tencent meeting room: https://meeting.tencent.com/dm/NXVVKc7PPZSs

Meeting number: 695-8098-7502

    • 16:00 16:05
      Introduction 5m

      General items.

Speaker: Prof. Kun LIU (TDLI/SPA, SJTU)
    • 16:05 16:15
ATLAS ttWML and ttHML analyses status 10m
Speaker: Nihal BRAHIMI (Tsung-Dao Lee Institute & Shanghai Jiao Tong University)

      ttWML analysis status (Reminder):

      • ttW analysis is public in the form of a CONF since end of March!
      • Current focus of the team is directed towards having the paper draft ready for the second circulation. The main outstanding item is the preparation of the inputs for the HEP data release where more studies are needed to validate the RIVET routine.

      ttHML analysis status:

      • Given the timescale of the analysis (EB request by end of May), we need to freeze the MVAs strategy ASAP. In particular, the decision on adding a fourth tH node to the nominal MVAs in the 0-tau channels needs to be taken soon. Relevant studies are already being carried out and obtained results being understood.
      • CRONLY and BONLY fits to data are being performed considering CRs from the ttW analysis + MVA CRs. These are needed to understand the discrepancies we see in the data/MC comparisons mainly the deficit in the “Other” CR which is enriched in VV background.  We are currently cross-checking our diverging results with the 3l team which seems to be driven by the MVA regions as expected.
      • A new round of ttHML production is needed to include proper b-tagging SFs variations (fixed WP) and latest recommendation for JES, electron reconstruction and muon trigger SFs. The code is being prepared to launch the production ASAP.
      • The ttHML INT note is being filled with the documented studies from different teams. Material is being reviewed.
      • The Top WS is currently ongoing: https://indico.cern.ch/event/1257761/timetable/#20230510.detailed
    • 16:15 16:25
      ATLAS ttH analysis 10m
      Speaker: Jialin Li
    • 16:25 16:35
ATLAS photon ID efficiency & Zgamma analysis 10m
      Speaker: Kang Liu
    • 16:35 16:50
ATLAS Zgamma & diphoton analysis 15m
Speakers: Yufeng Wang (TDLI), yufeng wang
    • 16:50 17:00
      DarkSHINE analysis general 10m
Speakers: Yufeng Wang (TDLI), yufeng wang

Adding DCutflow function into DarkSHINE framework (not pushed yet).

      • branching ratio (no pre-cut)
      • cutflow according to config file
      • running over all signal sample at one time, produce a set of signal efficiency for limit computation.

A "hacked" version of limit computation (with any given signal efficiency & background yield)

    • 17:00 17:10
      DarkSHINE tracker study 10m
      Speaker: Junhua Zhang
      1. Added theta-map to framework. We can discuss at tonight's meeting dor further details.
      2. Checked final position resolution for trackers in no-scaling signal perliminary. Found that almost no difference than before.

      Next to do:

Running some new recoil geometry in dss analysis.

      Further check the resolution.

    • 17:10 17:20
      DarkSHINE HCAL Study 10m
      Speaker: Hanqing Liu

I have already finished the thesisi.  And I am preparing the graduation thesis defenses  prensentaion.

    • 17:20 17:30
