Abstract：

In this talk, I will briefly describe Landau's working style, how Landau organize his seminar and his school, the study of Landau and his pupils on quantum electrodynamics, Landau's puzzle on the asymptotic behavior of QED, and the invention of renormalization group by Bogolyubov in facing this puzzle.

 

 

Biography：

Ph.D in 2001 from Institute of Theoretical Physics Chinese Academy of Science, then work at International Centre for Theoretical Physics(ICTP) and Canada’s National Laboratory of Particle and Nuclear Research(TRIUMF),from 2007  professor of physics in East China University of Science and Technology, mainly work on particle physics phenomenology. Main research fields include neutrino physics, dark matter and the physics beyond the Standard Model.
