Description
Abstract

We construct a new Skyrme interaction by fitting the equation of state and nucleon effective masses in asymmetric nuclear matter from chiral two- and three-body forces as well as the binding energies of finite nuclei. Employing this interaction in a Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck transport model, we investigate the effects of energy conservationin particle production and absorption processes on the equilibrium properties of a hot N-Delta-Pion system in a box with periodic boundary condition. Pion production in intermediate energy heavy ion collisions is further studied.
