Description

Abstract:

The discovery of the Higgs boson earlier this decade completed the Standard Model of particle physics.  With the fifty-year search for this elusive particle now complete, we can turn our focus to the next discovery.  I will review some of the most promising discovery candidates based on phenomena that the Standard Model does not explain.  I will also mention a few possible surprises based on current anomalies in particle physics measurements.
