Description
Abstract

In this talk, I will talk about our work on measuring the properties of galactic satellites, e.g. their luminosity function and number density profile from SDSS data, and how these properties depend on the local environment such as pair hosts and the cosmic web.  

Biography

Dr. Quan Guo is from Shanghai Observatory.  Quan obtained his PhD from ICC, Durham University in 2012. Then he moved to Leibniz-Institut for Astrophysik Potsdam (AIP) as a Postdoc, before joining SHAO as a faulty member in 2017 through the Bairen program.
