DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Yifan Chen (Niels Bohr Institute\, University of Cop
enhagen (Denmark))\n\nAbstractUltralight bosons\, such as axions and dark
photons\, have emerged as compelling candidates for new physics\, motivati
ng a range of searches across particle physics. However\, detecting these
bosons remains a significant challenge due to their extremely weak interac
tions with Standard Model particles. This talk explores two approaches to
enhancing these searches: (1) the amplification of boson density near blac
k holes (BHs)\, where strong gravitational fields can significantly boost
their concentration\; and (2) the use of quantum sensors on Earth to captu
re the coherent oscillations of local ultralight dark matter. Key phenomen
a like superradiant amplification\, which can lead to near-Planck-scale fi
eld values\, can significantly increase the density of ultralight bosons i
n the vicinity of BHs. These high densities enhance the detectability of s
ignals\, including gravitational wave emissions and electromagnetic signat
ures from BHs. In these dense boson environments\, early-universe-like phe
nomena\, such as non-perturbative particle production\, can emerge. These
processes offer novel opportunities for dark matter detection\, neutrino o
bservation\, and the development of new quantum sensor technologies\, enab
ling focused observational efforts on specific BHs or galactic centers.Bio

nclude astrophysical observations and terrestrial detection techniques.Cha
