 2023 (no password）Abstract:Gravitational-wave astronomy is a young yet
  rapidly growing field. Generated by violent astrophysical processes su
 ch as binary black hole mergers\, gravitational waves are ripples in space
 time that carry rich information about the most extreme environments in th
 e Universe. Nowadays\, they have become a powerful and complementary way
  to listen to the cosmos\, alongside traditional electromagnetic observati
 ons.  In this talk\, I will start with the basics of gravitational wa
 ves\, and then highlight some ongoing efforts to decipher exciting physi
 cs from these signals\, including signatures of black hole horizons\, n
 onlinear or even turbulent behaviors in General Relativity\, etc. I will 
 also introduce a novel numerical framework that currently offers the mo
 st accurate approach to solving Einstein’s field equations. Biography
 :Sizheng Ma received his Ph.D. in Physics from Caltech in 2023\, under th
 e supervision of Profs. Yanbei Chen\, Mark Scheel\, and Saul Teukolsky.
  He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Perimeter Institute. His
  research focuses on General Relativity and gravitational waves\, combinin
 g black hole perturbation theory\, numerical relativity\, and data analysi
 s to explore the nature of strong gravity in the universe. \n\nhttps://in
