DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Peizhi Du（杜佩之） (University of Science and
Technology of China)\n\nAbstract: The standard cosmological model (ΛCDM
model) assumes adiabatic initial conditions for primordial density perturb
ations. However\, many new physics scenarios can deviate from this assumpt
ion and generate isocurvature perturbations across a wide range of scales
. In this talk\, I will present general constraints on large-scale isocurv
ature (between 10^-4 Mpc^-1 and 10^-1 Mpc^-1) from observation of the Co
smic Microwave Background. Moreover\, Pulsar Timing Arrays set stringent l
imits on isocurvature around 10^6 Mpc^-1 via isocurvature induced gravitat
ional waves.Biography: Peizhi Du is currently a tenure-track professor a
t the University of Science and Technology of China. He earned his bachel
or's degree from Nanjing University\, and his PhD from the University of
Maryland. He was a postdoctoral associate at Stony Brook University and Ru
tgers University. His research focuses on particle physics phenomenology\
, including direct detection of light dark matter as well as astrophysical
and cosmological probes of physics beyond the Standard Model. Online Mee
