DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Ke-Pan Xie（谢柯盼） (Beihang University)\n\nAb
stract:  The process of symmetry breaking in the early Universe can mani
 fest as a first-order phase transition (FOPT)\, a second-order phase trans
ition\, or a smooth crossover. If the breaking proceeds via a FOPT\, the u
nique vacuum bubble nucleation structure and out-of-equilibrium environmen
t can provide the necessary conditions for matter-antimatter asymmetry gen
eration and dark matter formation\, and may even produce primordial black
holes or a multiverse. This talk will describe the principles of FOPTs\, i
ntroduce recent progress in new physics mechanism study\, and discuss the
corresponding phenomenological signals\, including gravitational waves and
collider signatures. About the speaker:  Ke-Pan Xie is an associate pr
ofessor at Beihang University. He received his B.S. from Zhejiang Universi
ty in 2013 and his Ph.D. from Peking University in 2018. He subsequently c
onducted postdoctoral research at Seoul National University in South Korea
and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the United States before joinin
g Beihang University in 2022. His research focuses on theoretical particle
physics\, with particular emphasis on the search for new physics beyond t
he Standard Model\, including particle cosmology and collider phenomenolog
 y. He has published over 40 papers in SCI-indexed journals. Online Meetin
