Abstract:
β-decay electron spectrum is an observable of nuclear β-decay, which is a special probe in exploring microscopic world and nuclear rules. This talk will introduce in detail the calculation of β-decay electron spectrum concentrated on 214Pb using self-consistent HFB+QRPA model based on Skyrme effective interaction. Our calculations show that the tensor force plays an important role in enhancing the low energy part of the spectrum.
Biography:
A Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Physics, Sichuan University. Research focuses on nuclear collective excited states and related physical quantities based on density functional theory, including beta decay, double-beta decay, neutron capture cross sections, and other relevant topics. Published more than 30 papers so far in journals such as PRL, PLB and PRC.
