 Abstract:In many situations\, fully ab initio nuclear theories—capable o
 f describing nuclear structure and reactions within a unified framework—
 remain computationally prohibitive. As a result\, a combined approach that
  integrates nuclear structure and reaction theories offers a more practica
 l\, though still challenging\, path for studying light heavy-ion reactions
 . In this seminar\, I will present our recent work on one- and two-nucleon
  transfer reactions\, as well as (p\,α) reactions involving light heavy-i
 on systems. I will also discuss possible strategies for more tightly integ
 rating nuclear structure and reaction descriptions within a coupled reacti
 on channels framework\, particularly for low-energy nuclear reactions.Biog
 raphy:Professor Danyang Pang works on theoretical studies of direct nuclea
 r reactions and few-body nuclear reactions\, such as deuteron stripping re
 action theory\, coupled reaction channels theory\, coupled-channel descrip
 tions of breakup reactions of weakly bound nuclei\, systematic optical pot
 entials\, and the Faddeev equation approach reactions of the n+d system. A
 s a principal investigator\, he has led two general programs of NSFC\, one
  key project of the joint fund for nuclear technology innovation of the NS
 FC\, one subproject under a key program of NSFC\, and has participated in
