DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Jing Liu (ICTP-AP，UCAS)\n\nAbstract:Advancements i
n gravitational wave detection have opened a new window into the very earl
y history of the universe and the corresponding models of fundamental phys
ics. These observations offer crucial insights into key issues such as sym
metry breaking\, gravitational theories\, and the origin of dark matter. T
his talk will briefly review and categorize the primary sources of gravita
tional waves\, including primordial scalar perturbations\, topological def
ects\, preheating\, and first-order phase transitions. We will discuss how
the energy spectrum\, anisotropies of gravitational waves\, as well as cu
rvature perturbations and dark matter associated to these sources\, can pr
ovide powerful probes or constraints on fundamental physics and cosmic evo
lution.Speaker:Jing Liu received his bachelor's degree from the University
of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and his Ph.D. from the Institut
e of Theoretical Physics\, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He is curren
tly a Special Research Assistant at the International Centre for Theoretic
al Physics (ICTP-AP)\, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). H
is primary research interests focus on the early universe and related fund
amental physics\, utilizing gravitational waves and other observational da
ta to constrain new physics.Alternative online link: https://meeting.tence
