tum spin state combining long-range order with superfluid properties\, the
spin supersolid exhibits significant low-energy fluctuations and entropy
effects at ultra-low temperatures\, making it a promising candidate for so
lid-state refrigeration in the sub-Kelvin regime. However\, this exotic st
ate had previously only been confirmed in quantum magnetic insulators. In
this talk\, I will introduce our recent discovery of a spin supersolid and
a giant magnetocaloric effect in the rare-earth intermetallic compound Eu
 Co₂Al₉ (ECA). References：1. M. Shu et al. Nature 651\, 61–67 (202

(2026) Biography:Dr. Zhe Qu received his double B.S. degrees in Material
Physics and Computer Science and Technology in 2001\, and his Ph.D. degree
in Condensed Mater Physics in 2006 (supervisor: Prof. Yuheng Zhang)\, all
from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). After a two-ye
ar postdoctoral fellow working at Tulane University (supervisor: Prof. Zhi
qiang Mao)\, he started his independent research career at USTC as an asso
ciated professor. At the end of 2009\, he moved to Hefei Institutes of Phy
sical Science\, Chinese Academy of Sciences and served as an associate pro
fessor at High Magnetic Field Laboratory (CHMFL). He was promoted to a ful
l professor in March 2015. He is a member of YIPA-CAS since 2011\, and awa
rded Anhui Distinguished Young Scholars Program in 2024. Dr. Qu’s resea
rch mainly focuses on the development of measurement techniques under high
magnetic field\, and physics in quantum magnets. With funding supports fr
om NSFC\, MOST and CAS\, he has published more than 100 peer-reviewed pape
 rs including Nature\, Nat. Commun.\, etc.  \n\nhttps://indico-tdli.sjtu.
