DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Shun Zhou（周顺） (Institute of High Energy Phys
ics (IHEP)\, Chinese Academy of Sciences)\n\nAbstract: The canonical sees
aw model serves as the simplest extension of the standard model but natura
lly accounts for both tiny neutrino masses and cosmological matter-antimat
ter asymmetry. In this talk\, we explain how the canonical seesaw model is
renormalized in the on-shell scheme at the one-loop level and demonstrate
that the renormalized lepton flavor mixing matrix can be made gauge-indep
endent via proper modifications of the counter terms. These results provid
e us with a self-consistent framework to test the low-energy scale seesaw
model in the coming era of precision measurements.Biography: Shun Zhou go
t his PhD from Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP)\, Chinese Academy o
f Sciences\, in 2009\, and then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Max
Planck Institute for Physics in Munich (Alexander von Humboldt Fellow) an
d KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Since 2014\, he has been
a faculty member of Theoretical Physics Division at IHEP. His main resear
ch interest revolves around fermion masses and flavor mixing\, CP violatio
n\, origin of neutrino masses and baryon number asymmetry in the Universe.
