Description

Abstract:
I review the modified gravity theories. I will explain what modified gravity is and why I am studying the theory. As motivations for the research, I will explain dark energy and old problems called the fine-tuning problem and coincidence problem. As typical models of the modified gravity models, I will introduce a scalar-tensor theory, scalar-Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity and F(R) gravity. I also plan to discuss gravitational waves as a means of testing these models.
