 Abstract:I review the modified gravity theories. I will explain what modif
 ied gravity is and why I am studying the theory. As motivations for the re
 search\, I will explain dark energy and old problems called the fine-tunin
 g problem and coincidence problem. As typical models of the modified gravi
 ty models\, I will introduce a scalar-tensor theory\, scalar-Einstein-Gaus
 s-Bonnet gravity and F(R) gravity. I also plan to discuss gravitational wa
