DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Kohei Kamada (Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study\
, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences)\n\nAbstract:Vacuum decay is o
ne of the hottest topics in cosmology and particle physics\, because now i
t is one of the promising phenomena to generate detectable gravitational w
ave background. Recently there is a claim that a small black hole may cata
lyze the vacuum decay to enhance its rate extremely\, which can change the
several scenarios of the cosmological phase transitions. Cosmological sce
narios with primordial black holes may change our prospect of the GW detec
tion\, and moreover\, they may lead to the catastrophe of our Universe. If
this is the case\, such scenarios are strongly constrained.Therefore\, it
is important to examine if such an enhancement of vacuum decay rate reall
y takes place. In this talk\, I will explain how such an enhancement of vac
uum decay is pointed out\,possible problems in the discussion that can cha
nge the conclusion\,and trials to overcome these problems.Biography:Kohei
Kamada is a distinguished researcher at Hangzhou Institute for Advanced St
udy\, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his Ph.D from
the University of Tokyo in 2011 and has worked at Deutsches Elektronen-Sy
nchrotron (DESY)\,Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)\, Ariz
ona State University\, and Institute for Basic Science as a postdoc. From
2018 to 2023\, he has worked at the University of Tokyo as an Assistant Pr
ofessor before joining HIAS .His research interest centers on the early Un
iverse cosmology and particle phenomenology. His works also include theore
tical consistency of Higgs inflation and baryogenesis from magnetic fields
