Abstract:
Cluster phenomena widely exist at various physical levels, from galaxy clusters with filamentary structure at the largest scale to quark clusters confined in hadrons at the smallest scale. The cluster degrees of freedom inside atomic nuclei are also one of the key factors determining nuclear structure properties and dynamical behavior. In recent years, research on cluster structure and cluster phenomena in the light nuclear region has made new progress both experimentally and theoretically, while as the number of nucleons in a nucleus increases, nucleon-nucleon correlations become more complex and lead to an explosive growth in the dimension of the configuration space. How cluster formation and correlations in heavy nuclei and even superheavy nuclei affect their structural properties and reaction mechanisms has naturally become a difficult problem, posing new challenges to experimental observations and existing nuclear theories.
In recent years, we have conducted a series of theoretical studies on how cluster physics influences the structural properties and decay properties of heavier nuclei. This report mainly covers two aspects: first, starting from the extreme two-body cluster model, gradually constructing a heavy-nucleus cluster model that includes core excitation and cluster-state coupling, and trending toward establishing a complete microscopic structure model with cluster degrees of freedom; second, the study of long-lived nucleus alpha decay and early solar system evolution, as well as research progress on 2α decay in nuclei.
