stract: In the past two decades\, transit surveys have revealed a populati
on of sub-Neptunes—planets with thick atmospheres that must have complet
ed their growth within protoplanetary disks. During this stage\, gravitati
onal interactions with the disk drive planet migration\, often trapping ne
ighboring planets into mean-motion resonances. Yet most exoplanets today a
re not in resonance\, indicating that dynamical instabilities must have di
srupted many primordial resonances. My research seeks to uncover the histo
ry of planet formation from these orbital architectures. In this talk\, I
will first show how planet formation leaves imprints in resonant systems s
uch as TRAPPIST-1. I will then demonstrate how wide companion planets can
destabilize the primordial resonances of inner terrestrial planets and eve
n trigger Moon-forming impacts\, as in our Solar System. \nShort Bio: Shu
o Huang is currently a TDLI postdoc. He obtained Joint PhD at Tsinghua Uni
versity (advisor Chris Ormel) and Leiden Observatory (advisor Simon Porteg
ies Zwart) in 2026. His research focuses on the orbital dynamics and plane
 t formation.\n\n \n\nhttps://indico-tdli.sjtu.edu.cn/event/5383/
