Description

Abstract:

Muons are sensitive probes for both material science and particle physics. The first muon source in China has been scheduled during the upgrade of China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS), starting from the end of 2021. In this talk I will introduce the muon source design and a planned particle physics experiment – muonium to anti-muonium conversion experiment (MuMuBar). I will present our recent progress and discuss more future possibilities.

Biography:

鲍煜-中科院高能所特聘研究员，中科院引进杰出人才，广东省珠江人才计划青年拔尖人才，东莞市特色人才。长期从事缪子束流研究，先后在德国、瑞士及美国工作近十年，参与多个国际重大项目。2017年回国后领导团队从事中国首个缪子源的设计建设工作。目前主持国家重点研发计划、中科院基础前沿原始创新等重要项目4项，发表文章三十余篇。
