Abstract:
Core-collapse supernova (CCSN) provides a unique astrophysical site for studying neutrino-matter interactions. Meanwhile, Non-Standard Interactions (NSI) provides a general effective field theory style framework to quantify new physics beyond the SM in the neutrino sector. In this talk, I will present the first direct study of NSI effects in CCSN simulations and especially, the pre-shock neutralization burst which we find is very sensitive to the NSI parameters. Someone interested can find these results in our published work: ApJL 923 (2021) L26 [arxiv: 2110.07249].
