Description
Abstract:
The Dark Photon and the axion are light particles, popular candidates for Dark Matter for being simple extensions to the Standard Model. Each of them has been actively searched for through the couplings called the vector portal and the axion portal. In this talk we will present the Dark Axion Portal, a model for Dark Matter (DM) in which both Dark Photons and Axions can contribute to the present day abundance of DM. We will talk about the production mechanisms and the cosmology surrounding them, and will show how viable production mechanisms point to a sub-dominant population of dark photons making up less than around 10% of the DM, with the remainder consisting of axion DM. Dark photons in the mass range 20−200 eV and axions in the mass range 30 − 400 µeV may be produced with these abundances self-consistently in the Dark Axion Portal and are within the reach of future direct searches.
Biref Biography:
I am currently working on my PhD at IFCA (University of Cantabria), working on direct search of Dark Matter. I got my Master’s degree in Particle Physics andPhysics of the Cosmos at the University of Cantabria in July 2021. My thesis was focused on the study of the cosmology and detection of a Dark Matter model. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Physics in 2020 at the University of Cantabria.
