Revealing Mysteries of QCD via Hadron Spectroscopy

Abstract:

 

Hadrons, fundamental blocks of the world, carry almost all masses of the visible Universe. In the Standard Model, hadrons are bound states of quarks and gluons via strong interaction which is described by quantum chromodynamics (QCD). Non-perturbative mysteries of QCD, confinement and dynamical chiral symmetry breaking, are the keys to understand hadron properties. The Dyson-Schwinger equations (DSEs) are a powerful tool of non-perturbative QCD, which have made numerous progress in recent years. In the talk, I will present latest results of DSEs on hadron spectroscopy to reveal mysteries of QCD.

 

Biography:

I received my PhD from Peking University (2012). Then, I was a postdoc at Frankfurt University funded by the Alexander von Humboldt fellowship (2012 - 2014), and Argonne National Laboratory funded by the Maria Goeppert-Mayer fellowship (2015 - 2017). Now, I am a professor at College of Physics, Chongqing University (2017 - present). I mainly work on QCD, especially its non-perturbative aspects, e.g., hadron spectroscopy, hadron structures, phase diagram of nuclear matter in extreme conditions, and etc.
