Description

Tencent meeting room: https://meeting.tencent.com/dm/NXVVKc7PPZSs

Meeting number: 695-8098-7502

    • 15:00 15:05
      Introduction 5m

      General items.

Speaker: Prof. Kun LIU (Tsung-Dao Lee Institute & Shanghai Jiao Tong University)
    • 15:05 15:15
ATLAS ttWML and ttHML analyses status 10m
Speaker: Nihal BRAHIMI (Tsung-Dao Lee Institute & Shanghai Jiao Tong University)

      ttWML analysis status:

      • ttW analysis is public in the form of a CONF since end of March!
      • Current focus of the team is directed towards having the paper draft ready for the second circulation. The main outstanding item is the preparation of the inputs for the HEP data release where more studies are needed to validate the RIVET routine.

      ttHML analysis status:

      • Given the updated timescale for the analysis (EB request by end of May), we need to freeze the MVAs strategy by End of April. First step of optimization concerns finalizing the list of variables to be used. This step depends on the decision of adding tH node to the nominal MVAs which will be taken soon.
      • CRONLY and BONLY fits to data are being performed considering CRs from the ttW analysis + MVA CRs. These are needed to understand the discrepancies we see in the data/MC comparisons mainly the deficit in the “Other” CR which is enriched in VV background (follow-up from Jialin today).
      • A new round of ttHML production is needed to include proper b-tagging SFs variations (fixed WP) and latest recommendation for JES, electron reconstruction and muon trigger SFs. The code will be prepared within a week to launch the production.
    • 15:15 15:25
      ATLAS ttH analysis 10m
      Speaker: jialin li
      • The application of NFs to Other CRs could improve the modeling performance.(as shown in the figure)
      • Check the ttH and ttW systematics in the corresponding MVA regions with inclusive selection(both 2j and 3j)
      • Check the differences with the 3l results in CRs and NFs.
      • Write the DNN training and Modeling check work in Appendices.
    • 15:25 15:35
ATLAS photon ID efficiency & Zgamma analysis 10m
      Speaker: Kang Liu
    • 15:35 15:50
ATLAS Zgamma & diphoton analysis 15m
Speakers: Yufeng Wang (TDLI), yufeng wang
    • 15:50 16:00
      DarkSHINE analysis general 10m
Speakers: Yufeng Wang (TDLI), yufeng wang

      DS analysis framework

      • All codes collected in git: validation plots, cut-flow, mini-tree maker for cut optimization, extrapolation, signal efficiency and sensitivity estimation, some extra tools.
      • merging into DS software and make everything automatical.

Other models: full simulation/recast (with Danning)

      • four interesting signal models:
        • axion portal (public package from LDMX?)
          • photon- and electron-coupling dominated regimes.
          • arXiv:1807.01730, arXiv:2203.08192, arXiv:1512.03069
        • dark axion portal - already has calcHEP model
        • neutrino model - was an irreducible background in baseline 1, still worth check sensitivity
        • time-varying resonant mass - Jia Liu's team, probing ultralight DM; need some paper reading
      • recasting package:
        • try to avoid the full simulation procedure (calcHEP->lookup table->physics list in Geant4->simulation->reconstruction), use only truth information from generators
        • https://hepcedar.gitlab.io/contur/contur.html
        • https://gitlab.com/hepcedar/contur
    • 16:00 16:10
      DarkSHINE tracker study 10m
      Speaker: Junhua Zhang
    • 16:10 16:20
      DarkSHINE HCAL Study 10m
      Speaker: Hanqing Liu

Fix technique problems with Chunxiang, he will give a report about the WLS fiber simulation tonight.

      To do

I am going to finish the remaining part of my thesis, abstract and adding reference.

    • 16:20 16:30
      Silicon strip sensor 10m
