Description

Tencent meeting room: https://meeting.tencent.com/dm/NXVVKc7PPZSs

Meeting number: 695-8098-7502

    • 16:00 16:05
      Introduction 5m

      General items.

Speaker: Prof. Kun LIU (Tsung-Dao Lee Institute & Shanghai Jiao Tong University)
    • 16:05 16:15
ATLAS ttWML and ttHML analyses status 10m
Speaker: Nihal BRAHIMI (Tsung-Dao Lee Institute & Shanghai Jiao Tong University)

      ttWML analysis status:

      • ttW analysis is public in the form of a CONF since end of March!
      • Current focus of the team is directed towards having the paper draft ready for the second circulation. The main outstanding item is the preparation of the inputs for the HEP data release where more studies are needed to validate the RIVET routine.

      ttHML analysis status:

      • Given the updated timescale for the analysis (EB request by end of May), we need to freeze the MVAs strategy by End of April. First step of optimization concerns finalizing the list of variables to be used. This step depends on the decision of adding tH node to the nominal MVAs which is pending further checks from the team.
      • CRONLY and BONLY fits to data are being performed considering CRs from the ttW analysis + MVA CRs. These are needed to understand the discrepancies we see in the data/MC comparisons mainly the deficit in the “Other” CR which is enriched in VV background.  We are currently cross-checking our diverging results with the 3l team.
      • A new round of ttHML production is needed to include proper b-tagging SFs variations (fixed WP) and latest recommendation for JES, electron reconstruction and muon trigger SFs. The code is being prepared to launch the production ASAP.
    • 16:15 16:25
      ATLAS ttH analysis 10m
      Speaker: jialin li

      1. Finished the draft of the appendices of the ttH paper.

      2. Check the ttW analysis CR-only fit without MVA CRs. The result of data yield is the same and MC yield has a little discrepancy between 3l. Need David's feedback on 3l' checking.

      3. Check the performance of 2j vs. 3j used in MVA training.

      • No significant improvement in the modeling of MVA training variables, ttW, and Other MVA scores.
      • Check the shapes for the ttH score in the ttH samples between the 2j and 3j training.(As shown in the figure link)
      • Check the ttH and ttW systematics uncertainty of ttH SR and ttW CR between the 2j and 3j training. (Jobs are in the queue. Waiting for the results no more than today)
    • 16:25 16:35
ATLAS photon ID efficiency & Zgamma analysis 10m
      Speaker: Kang Liu

After I found some problems, such as Rhad and Rhad0 cut and transformation, ioslation cut and so on, the result of redoing still had problems. I'm still debugging...

    • 16:35 16:50
ATLAS Zgamma & diphoton analysis 15m
Speakers: Yufeng Wang (TDLI), yufeng wang
    • 16:50 17:00
      DarkSHINE analysis general 10m
Speakers: Yufeng Wang (TDLI), yufeng wang
      • Implementing new signal processes into DarkSHINE framework.
      • Some idea about biasing/trigger.
    • 17:00 17:10
      DarkSHINE tracker study 10m
      Speaker: Junhua Zhang

      1. Merging and debugging for the "theta-p map" to DAna;

      2. Next to do: making new geometry in recoil region, study the momentum reconstruction.

    • 17:10 17:20
      DarkSHINE HCAL Study 10m
      Speaker: Hanqing Liu

1.I am still revising my thesis.(Already added the ref, check the format, rewrite some part according to Kun' s comment)

But I still need to add some details to make sure that my paper meet the requirements.(Today I will finish it)

2.About the question in last dark shine meeting, ChunXiang and I have tested our standalone frkmework and will give a clear answer tonight.

    • 17:20 17:30
