Description

Abstract:

When considering particles propagating in the background of ultralight dark matter, modification of their dispersion relation and field normalization needs to be taken into account. We first compute the modification for fermions propagating in scalar and vector dark matter, and then discuss various phenomenological implications. It is interesting to note that the neutrino oscillation may be due to such an effect.

Biography:

Eung Jin Chun's research focuses on theories beyond the Standard Model. He has been working on superstring and supersymmetry phenomenology, and more recently on neutrino and dark matter properties to search for the fundamental theory in connection with cosmological and astrophysical observations, and collider experiments like LHC.
