Abstract

In this work, a three-quark picture is constructed using a bottom-up approach for baryons in a light-front quark model. The shape parameters, which characterize the momentum distribution inside a baryon, are determined with the help of the pole residue of the baryon. The relation between the three-quark picture and the diquark picture is clarified. When building the model, we find that Lorentz boost plays a crucial role, and the bottom-up modeling approach can be generalized to multiquark states. Based on this, a unified theoretical framework for describing multiquark states may be established. As a by-product of model construction, we can easily obtain a newly improved definition of baryon interpolating current. The hadron interpolating currents are the starting point of lattice QCD and QCD sum rules, and therefore are of great importance.

Biography:

Zhen-Xing Zhao is a special researcher and doctoral supervisor at Inner Mongolia University. He graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in September 2019 with a Ph.D. in Physics. He joined Inner Mongolia University in October 2019. His main research interests are heavy flavor physics and nonperturbative quantum chromodynamics. Currently, he focuses on the lifetime of weakly decaying heavy flavor baryons and the weak decay form factors of heavy flavor baryons. Some of his main academic contributions include: 1. Participation in theoretical calculations for the search for the doubly charmed baryon. 2. Co-proposing a new method to measure the photon polarization in the B to K1 gamma decay in the top physics journal Physical Review Letters. In addition, his sole-authored article “Weak decays of heavy baryons in the light-front approach” was awarded the "China Top Cited Paper Award" by IOP Publishing in 2021. He also received the title of “Distinguished Referee” from EPJC in 2019. He serves as a referee for internationally renowned journals such as PRD, EPJC, and CPC.
