Abstract

The knowledge of infrared singularities of gauge-theory amplitudes enables us to systematically resume large logarithmic corrections to many important observables. In this talk, I will present the structure of anomalous dimensions governing infrared singularities of QCD amplitudes with one massive and an arbitrary number of massless external partons. The analytical expression of tripole correlations involving one massive parton is obtained at three loops for the first time. The results are essential to improve the theoretical predictions of single top and top quark pair productions at hadron colliders.

Biography:

Dr. Zelong Liu is currently a tenure-track scientific staff at IHEP (CAS). He obtained his Ph.D. in theoretical particle physics from Peking University in 2016. He then worked as a postdoc at JGU Mainz (2016-2019), LANL (2019-2021), the University of Bern (2021-2022), and CERN (2022-2023) before joining IHEP. His research interests focus on collider physics, QCD, and its effective theories.
