Abstract:

Charmonia, bound states of charm and anticharm quarks, are not only rich laboratories of strong interaction in vacuumbut also constitute versatile probes of the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP) as created inrelativistic heavy-ion collisions. In this talk, we are going to present a computation of charmonia dissociation cross section by thermal quarks and gluons at the next-to-leading order and then its application to charmonia semiclassical transport in the QGP, highlighting the regeneration production of J/psi and its excited state psi(2S). 

 

Biography:

何敏,现任南京理工大学教授。2004年南京理工大学应用物理系学士,2009年南京大学物理系博士,2009年至2012年美国德州农工大学博士后。从事高能核物理理论科研和教学工作,特别是在夸克-胶子等离子的重味夸克和重味夸克偶素物理方面做出有代表性的工作,获邀在第29届国际相对论核核对撞大会(Quark Matter 2022)做大会报告。
