The recent island conjecture is intended to resolve black hole information paradox in semi-classical level, which is based on open evaporating models by a gravitating system coupled to a non-gravitating bath. While, the split problem was raised by Raju questioning such double holographic model involved in.
In this talk, I will review this development, including the quantum extremal surface phase transition and replica wormhole interpretation for the island. To generalize those theoretical development to the closed system, I will inspect a felicity of a Dyson's sphere near the AdS boundary to collect radiation as a thought experiment when the black hole can evaporate out. I will also refers to the Maxwell demon mechanism to understand different Page curves the split problem.
Yang An, joined the Kavli Institute of Theoretical Sciences (KITS) at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences as a research assistant in 2023. He obtained his PhD from Zhejiang University in 2019, specializing in high energy physics on scattering amplitudes, following his bachelor degree as a participant in the national top-notch talent program from CKC in the same university. From 2017 to 2019, he was a joint-Union PhD researcher in the string group at the University of Amsterdam, where he turned research interest to emergent gravity from quantum information (It from Qubit) guided by Erik Verlinde. 2020 to 2023 was his post doc research period at Zhejiang University of Technology and he executed a postdoctoral fund. His papers have been published in journals such as JHEP and EPJC.
