The international symposium on the future of physics and astronomy will be held on September 15-16, 2017 in Shanghai, China, sponsored by the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute. The symposium aims at exploring the latest advances in physics and astronomy as well as strengthening international academic exchanges and collaborations.

Nobel Prize winner Frank Wilczek will be appointed as the founding director of the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute. The symposium combines the inauguration ceremony with the scientific program. On the one hand, the symposium highlights the layout of the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute among three research fields including Particle Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology, Quantum Science and Technology. On the other hand, worldwide top scholars are invited to give academic talks. The symposium covers the following main topics in physics and astronomy:

Session I:   Fundamental Physics
Session II:  Astronomy and Cosmology
Session III: Quantum Physics
Session IV: Science and Art

In addition, the symposium includes panel discussions on research fields and activities, respectively, for the three divisions of the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute.
