Recent research results on 3D quantum anomalous Hall effect and disssipation features in topological superconductors will be presented.
Professor Xin-Cheng Xie obtained his Ph. D. from the University of Maryland in 1988. He became a faculty member in the Department of Physics at Oklahoma State University in USA in 1991 and was named Regents Professor in 2004. Professor Xie joined Peking University in 2010 as Chair Professor and Founding Director of International Center for Quantum Materials. He was Dean of School of Physics at Peking University between 2011 and 2018. Professor Xie assumed the role of Divisional Director of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) in 2016, and Vice President of NSFC in 2018. Currently, Professor Xie is Chair Professor at Peking University, Director of the Interdisciplinary Center for Theoretical Physics and Information Sciences at Fudan University, President of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC).
Professor Xie’s main research interests include quantum Hall effect, charge and spin transport, low dimensional quantum systems, topological matter and strongly correlated electron systems. More than 360 papers have been published, including over 20 in the Nature/Science series and over 50 in PRL. He served as Divisional Associate Editor for Condensed Matter Division of Physical Review Letters (PRL), and is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Science China Physics, Mechanics & Astronomy. Prof. Xie was elected as a Fellow of American Physical Society in 2008, a Member of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015, and a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences in 2018.
