Run3 ggF H->yyd search:

• Focusing on finalizing the study using data 2023 only; Study with data 2024 open if recommendations ready in time; Setup for combination with Run2 VBF and ZH ready.
• Systematic ntuples production production ongoing ---> Adding systematics to trexfitter for the fit, then checking the correlations, pulls, etc.

HWWlvlv QE:

• Workflow (FastFrames + root script) for trigger study almost done, Baihong and I performed some tests.
• 1st issue: 2015 triggers different with 2016 triggers, but no information to distinguish between 2015 and 2016 in MC20a. Using (2015 OR 2016) for mc20a. The fraction of inappropriately selected events expected to be negligible.
• 2nd issue: found large xsec for Higgs samples in the latest PMG database---> already discussed with contacts, conveners and JIRA https://its.cern.ch/jira/browse/CENTRPAGE-546

ATLAS+CMS HH combination (with Baihong and Qibin):

• Determining to-do list for the tasks that we committed.

9 Status

DarkSHINE:

HCAL hardware test: 

1. replicate the noise test with new plastic scintillator bar, further study for noise source is needed
2. multi-channel scintillators test, for a first test, the muon detection rate is not that good (with a conservative threshold)
3. On-going: test the N.P.E yield for 8 new pieces

DarkSHINE simulation: will use new framework prepared by Xuliang to study the side-HCAL design

 

Hyy*: check the signal PDF with the new MxAOD

 

H2a4b: work with Zelin for Data/MC comparison so far the update of easyjet and the un-match between new easyjet and additional package cause some issue
