In conjunction with the 2025 Shanghai Symposium on Particle Physics and Cosmology, the T.D. Lee Institute is hosting a school for Ph.D. students and post-docs on the physics of precision Higgs factory physics. The school will take place October 13-16 at the T.D. Lee Institute. Topics include:
- Precision electroweak observables and electroweak radiative corrections
- Precision Higgs physics: the Standard Model and beyond
- Machine learning for colliders
- Dark matter: the direct detection-collider probe complementarity
The format will consist of lectures, discussion, and “hands on” exercises. The objective of the school is to provide participants with an introduction to the physics of a prospective Higgs factory, connections with other forefront areas of particle physics, and methods needed for research in Higgs factory physics.
Confirmed lecturers include:
Alessandro Vicini, U. Milan
Sven Heinemeyer, IFT (CSIC, Madrid)
Maria Martinez, Zaragoza U.
Huilin Qu, CERN
Meng Yue, Shanghai Jiao Tong U.
Ning Zhou, Shanghai Jiao Tong U.
There is no registration fee for the school (https://indico-tdli.sjtu.edu.cn/event/4428/registrations/164/), though participants will cover their own travel and accommodation costs.
