Abstract:
In the Standard Model extended by a single complex scalar field, the mass degeneracy of the Higgs states plays an important role in determining the phenomenology of the model. In this work, we focus on the strong first-order electroweak phase transition that can arise in this framework and investigate the conditions under which electroweak baryogenesis can be achieved. We further examine the possibility that such a transition may generate stochastic gravitational waves or even primordial black holes. In addition, we show that future precision measurements of the Higgs triple coupling at lepton colliders provide a complementary probe of this model when combined with other observations.
