      CEPC Zvvy nTGC

      • The 1D and 2D fits have both been completed.
      • For 1D, I found that for all 9 operators, the 95% confidence intervals from MissingE and photon pT fits are almost the same.
      • I am not sure whether this is because the two variables have similar sensitivity in the Zvvy process, further checks and discussion with Danning are needed.
      • For 2D, the fitting is used to study the correlations between different pairs of operators.
        • For example, this is the 2D likelihood contour for the Wilson coefficients CBB and CBW.
        • The color scale represents −2Δlog⁡L. The solid contour corresponds to the 68% confidence level, and the dashed contour corresponds to the 95% confidence level.
        • The elongated shape shows that the two coefficients are highly correlated.
      • In summary, I am currently waiting for Danning’s results for cross-check and further discussion.

The IV curve measurement of SiPM is redo under the presence of light.

the result appears to look similar to the trend in hamamatsu manual

since under light condition, the graph shown a good trend that allow us to determine the breakdown voltage, the experiment would redo under light condition at different temperature

ssWW analysis:  Working on the WZ CR (Control Region) :

      • After yield validation with Run2, we will use the same reweighting strategy as in the legacy analysis.
In more detail: Reweighting of the WZ QCD model managed by using the variable M_jj (invariant mass of the di-jet system) to rescale MC samples compared to the data (Section 6.1.1, ~ page 32 of the legacy paper).
      • Code has been produced, and validated on dummy MC samples.
      • To go further, production of Run3 MC and data samples using FastFrames. Issue (?) to be discussed about the WZ_QCD M_jj distribution, as the current weights are mainly negative:

      REU: Undergrad Research Discussions
      • 11:30
        Status 5m
        Speaker: Peixu Teng (SPA, SJTU)
        • Have get LEP settings and calculating exclusion diagram.
          • Overall, there is not much problem in the low-quality range, but for the high-quality range, especially when considering decay in collider experiments, the situation becomes complicated. I am trying to solve this problem using MadSpin.
          • Apart from this, the overall trend is roughly the same.
