- Searched for both signal and background MC23 samples in AMI; currently summarizing the available samples and prioritizing the main background processes to include.
• Downloaded a subset of Run-3 data22 DAOD_PHYS files from period F8. A faster and more automated download workflow is still needed for larger samples.
• Started testing the HGamCore framework with the downloaded data22 DAOD files. The framework can compile and open the input files, but the current configs/cutflows seem not fully compatible with the DAOD_PHYS format and need further checks.
Plan
• Finalize the list of dominant MC23 background samples, including availability and file counts.
• Produce a first Run-3 control-region plot similar to the Run-2 Zγ CR plot, starting with data and the dominant MC backgrounds.

Status 10mSpeaker: Bai-Hong Zhou (TDLI, SJTU)
Today's focus:
[ssWW]:- Modified FastFrame framework to make sure it could run the latest ntuples (DNN related);
- Added the truth information in our fastframe framrework;

[Hyy*]:
- Write down a new script to validate breakdown fit results (quickFit vs quickstate);
[Zbbj Calibration]:
- Validated the High pT region (> 1 TeV) LRjet distribution with Elisabeth;
Plans:
[ssWW]:
- Launch a new ntuple production process (latest samples still miss forward jets information);
- Make a new MR truth information and truth selection implemented;
- Train the ParT with the latest ntuples;
[Hyy*]:
- Check the breakdown valiation fit results;
[DarkSHINE]:
- Fixed the typo in Section 3.3 of our CDR;
[Zbbj Calibration]:
- Push all my fitting framework related codes to the main branch;

Sterile neutrino, discussed with Yifan Chen

different mass fermion dipole coupling
However, for equal-mass fermion dipole coupling:
- we don't need to compete to other curved neutrino experiment limit
- Forbid N > v γ decay

Also, by not considering specific UV complete model, we can only consider dγ LEP 91GeV limit.

Today's focus:
[STCF EMC CsI Test]:
- Target: Try using SiPMs to improve the time resolution of the CsI crystal detector module.
- We have received the crystals sent from USTC. We also made the dedicated PCBs for the tests and spent a lot of time completing the experimental setup together with Junwei and Haydar.

- We collected cosmic-ray waveforms using different SiPMs and several different electronics configurations, and analyzed the timing resolution, which is about 1.5 ns.

[DarkSHINE ECAL Simulation]:
- .Refined some parameters in the optical simulation and simulated the differences in the crystal response at different energies

[DarkSHINE ECAL prototype electroncs]:
- Bi-weekly meeting yesterday afternoon: The USTC team presented simulations of the circuit response at MHz rates, analyzed baseline pile-up, and discussed the selection of the power-supply chip and the voltage-control module.
Immediate Plans:
- [STCF EMC CsI Test]: Further improve the circuit and carry out more parameter-scan tests to improve the timing resolution
- [DarkSHINE ECAL Simulation]: Try to evaluate the impact of the detector unit’s response non-uniformity on the overall detector performance

DarkSHINE
- Completed a detail review of chapter 1 and 4
- Finished editing the Target section
- Next step:
- Editing the Ecal detector section
- Carefully review and prepare comments for chapter 3
- I will setup the git versioning for the document
- Today we will continue the cosmic ray test with Chunxiang
Exotic Higgs decay analysis
- I am currently investigating a new jet finding algorithm called the XCone algorithm (https://arxiv.org/abs/1508.01518)
- This jet algorithm can be used to resolve boosted jet
- Since it was never used in CEPC analyses, I will first benchmark the jet performance against the eekT algorithm

Today's focus:
[Hyy*]:
- Fake region issue still on hold, as we need to produce new n-tuple first. This is work in progress, and should be resolved soon (?). The plotting macro only requires these new n-tuples to be ready.
[ssWW]:
- WZ_QCD reweighting applied on current n-tuples with the latest changes (now that the group AC validated Baihong's investigation on the differences on the yield): Results are slightly better.
- Also, new n-tuples should be in production (more in Baihong's presentation? -> He caught something in the current ones). This correction could have an important impact on the reweighing: waiting for them to be ready, and reaply the script on these.
[ZZy]:
- Steps have been clearly identified, through discussions with the team. Progress has been made, but we need to put more efforts to present results for early May.
Immediate Plans:
- [Hyy*]: Continue with the fake templates.
- [ZZy]: Produce as many plots (those identified) as possible for next week.
- [ssWW]: Additional plots (i.e. stacked histogram comparison before/after m_jj WZ_QCD reweighting) could be worth producing as well. Will continue exploring this if time allows.

Today's focus:
[STCF]:- Get the most probable value (MPV) of the crystal energy spectrum obtained from muons to calibrate the uncorrected e+ energy measured in the experiment.

- Comparison of momentum response between simulation and experiment.
The small difference between them arises from differences between the simulation setup and the real detector.

- By applying momentum spread in the simulation, energy resolution consistent with that of the experimental data is obtained.

( I will try to refer to relevant theories to further validate and support this result afterwards.Plans:
- Prepare for my graduation thesis defense
