      Today's focus:

      [STCF]:

      • Learned the experimental setup and relevant knowledge for CsI crystal time decay test.
      • Ran preliminary optical simulations of a CsI crystal using a small number of events.

      [DarkSHINE]:

      • Studied the optical photon transport simulation of LYSO crystals and the progress is the same as above. A full simulation with sufficient statistics is still in progress.

      Plans:

      For both projects:

      • Learn more about other experimental tests to broaden my understanding of the experimental procedures.
      • Run simulations with sufficient statistics to obtain the light output and plot its dependence on the particle interaction position.

      [Inclusive ZZ Run3]

      1. Read some paper about EFT study, and figure out the goals of ZZ production.
      2. Plan to learn how to generate EFT samples in the next step.

      [VBS ZZ Run3]

      1. EFT study will be helpful to it.

      ZZy

      [Finished]

      • Studied the HGamGamStar and EasyJet workflows and gained a better understanding of how the two frameworks are connected.
      • Reviewed the HZy implementations and prepared an initial mapping of the parts that may be reused or adapted for ZZγ.
      • Prepared the overall MC sample request workflow and a checklist for each step.

      [Plan]

      • Refine the mapping and start a minimal EasyJet ZZγ implementation, focusing on the four-lepton and two-ZZ reconstruction, followed by an initial Run-2 comparison with HGamGamStar.
      • Discuss the detailed task allocation,prepare Run-3 JOs based on the Run-2 configurations, and begin Sherpa integration checks for convergence, cross sections, and EVNT generation.

      [Today's focus:]

      • Wlllv analysis:
        • Get preliminary SR+WZCR fit result by TREXfitter. Compare different vars mlll mT_lll mT_lllv in WZCR.
        • Change Muon isolation from Loose to tight -> Suppress NonPormpt bkg.
      • HGTD FELIX Monitoring:
        • Link alignment monitoring on OPCUA server and WinCC OA.
      • H2a4b analysis:
        • Modify Coffea code so that all 2022~2024 mc samples and data can run together.

      [Next plans:]

      • Wlllv analysis:
        • Finish BDT part in INT note.
        • Wait new tight isolation ntuple finished.
      • H2a4b analysis:
        • Prepare for a status report with 2022~2024 mc samples and data, also LLP samples.
    • 10:50 11:00
      Status 10m
      Speaker: Bai-Hong Zhou (TDLI, SJTU)

      [Hyy*]:

      • Checked the QCD scale uncertainty for ggF category for Run3 and Run2 workspace;
      • Updated the uncertainties components and combination results as followed;

      [ssWW]:

      • Checked the systematics impact for signal process;
        • Overall, the experimental systematic variations have relatively small effects on the signal distributions.
        • The largest visible effects mainly originate from jet-related uncertainties.
      • Prepare to present our current results with the systmatics and fit study (preliminary significance results) tomorrow;

      Plans:

      [ssWW]:

      • Combine the Run 2 and Run 3 workspace to see the expected significance;
      • Prepare the presentation tomorrow;

      [DarkSHINE FastSimu]:

      • Train the calo-VQ again based on the new samples;

      Exotic Higgs decay analysis

      • Finished the NTuples production with the new XCone algorithm for both H->qq/gg and H->aa->bbbb
      • Now running the ParT for H->qq/gg at first to validate the jet tagging efficiency against the CEPC CDR
      • Next: add the H->aa->bbbb sample in the training dataset

      HCAL R&D

      • Placed an order for some electronics components which are lacking for the temperature test

      Speaker: Matthias Tartarin (TDLI, SJTU)

      Today's focus:

      [ssWW]:

      • Unfolding: Config from Yi is understood. Tests went well, with small issues from my side but I think it is solved. Config also modified to account for more variables. Should be able to share results to internal group in the coming days.

      [VBS_Kappa ]:

      • UFO modification : On-going, advancing well (at the level on tests implementions through MG5).

      Plans:

      • [ssWW] Follow with the unfolding. Waiting for EFT production to start this one too.
      • [VBS_Kappa] Thinking about exploring Sherpa3 as a generator, following the ATLAS Run-3 decision for polarization samples. (And following the informal discussion with Tairan the other day regarding Sherpa3 being more advanced than MG5 on polarization theory side).
      • [ZZy] Plans to introduce and include Rui Yang to the SJTU/TDLI team's effort this afternoon.
