Abstract:
Significant progress has been made in last 30 years in our understanding of scattering amplitudes, where the modern on-shell methods have played important roles. Form factors are quantities that encode the information of both on-shell asymptotic states and off-shell local operators. They provide a bridge between purely on-shell amplitudes and more general off-shell correlation functions. In particular, the involved on-shell states make it possible to apply powerful on-shell methods to form factors. In this talk, I will give an introduction to modern amplitudes techniques as well as some recent progress on their application to high-loop form factors.
