Abstract

The relativistic protons in the extremely powerful jets of blazars may boost the dark matter (DM) particles in the surrounding of the source to high energy via elastic collision, which opens a new possibility for probing the nature of DM at underground DM direct detection experiments. In this talk, I will focus on two sample sources, i.e. TXS 0506+056 and BL Lacertae, and derive the corresponding limitations of spin-dependent and spin-independent DM-nucleon cross section by using the results of XENON1T, MiniBooNE, and Borexino.
