Description
Abstract:

Grand unified theory is one of the most prospective frameworks beyond the standard model of particle physics, providing explanations for the quantization of electric charge and the convergence of the electromagnetic, weak, and strong interaction couplings at energies around ∼ 10^{16} GeV. Given that it is unrealistic to reach the GUT energy scale directly with an accelerator, proton decay search is one of the most promising probes to test it. In this talk, I will present recent proton decay search results from Super-Kamiokande with particular emphasis on my work in the graduate course.
