Abstract:
Recently, the LHCb collaboration has announced the observation of a new two-body decay of doubly-charmed baryon: Ξcc++→Ξc+'π+. The measured relative branching fraction BΞcc++→Ξc+'π+/BΞcc++→Ξc+π+=1.41±0.17±0.1 is much larger than the theoretical predictions. Currently, in the theoretical studies on Ξcc++→Ξc+(')π+, most efforts are devoted to the factorizable W-emission contribution. However, there is no concrete study on the non-factorizable W-exchange contribution. In this work, we perform a light-cone sum rules calculation on the W-exchange contribution to Ξcc++→Ξc+(')π+. Combining the obtained W-exchange amplitudes with the factorizable amplitudes given by various theoretical methods from the literature, we can produce several possible relative branching fractions, and one of them is consistent with the experimental value.
