Abstract:
Challenges, such as understanding the origin of observed baryon asymmetry and the nature of dark matter, indicate the existence of physics beyond the Standard Model. New physics searches, whether through direct probes or precision measurements, could be hindered by uncertainties in theoretical predictions that, at present, cannot be resolved due to computational or theoretical limitations. To overcome this hurdle, real-time simulation with quantum computers offers an elegant solution. In my talk, I will discuss the critical need for real-time simulation in new physics searches. I will also discuss existing challenges and theoretical developments involved in formulating quantum field theory on a quantum computer and extracting physical quantities from it in the continuum limit. Additionally, I will briefly talk about recent developments in quantum machine learning techniques used for HEP data analysis.
