The 2024 Shanghai Symposium on Particle Physics and Cosmology (SPCS 2024) will convene at the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI) from November 11 to November 15, 2024.

SPCS is held annually, with each year focusing on a distinct set of related physics topics. The first edition of SPCS took place in 2011, with a vibrant agenda.

This year, the conference will highlight the latest advancements in neutrino astronomy and their properties, gamma-ray astronomy, multi-messenger probes, atmospheric neutrinos, deep-water telescope technologiesinnovative detectors, simulation and data handling techniques.

Our aim is to provide a platform to stimulate discussions, foster collaboration and inspire exploration across the key frontiers of these interconnected fields.

The symposium's format will feature a mixture of invited talks (25+5’), topical and contributed talks (15’) and poster-like flash talks (3-5’, TBD). Participation will be in-person only. The registration fee is RMB 2,000 for faculty members and postdocs, RMB 1,000 for students. Registration is open till October 31, 2024.

李政道研究所是由诺贝尔物理学奖获得者李政道先生建议,经党和国家领导人批示,在国家部委和上海市的大力支持下,于2016年11月在上海交通大学成立,旨在建设成为世界顶级科学研究机构。

Proposed by the Nobel laureate Tsung-Dao Lee and with support and endorsement from governments and ministries at national and municipal levels, Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI) is a basic research institute established at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in November 2016, aiming to build itself as a world-leading science institute.

遵照李先生的建言,李所聚焦最基本的科学问题,从事物理和天文方面最前沿的科学研究,拓展科学知识的边界,寻找宇宙中极大和极小间的关联,探索自然界最基本和最深刻的相互作用规律。

Resonating with Professor Lee’s vision, the Institute focuses on the most fundamental science questions and conducts cutting-edge research in physics and astronomy in an effort to shed light on the relationship between the maximum and the minimum in the universe, and the most fundamental and profound laws of interaction in the nature.
