Description
Abstract

The universal relations among the properties of neutron stars (NS) reflect the nature that there exist some relations between the global properties of NS are not dependent on the EOS. This relation can be used to constrain the properties that cannot be directly observed (such as the gravitational binding energy) or cannot be accurately observed (such as the radius), and can be also used to further constrain the EOS (such as the symmetry energy). Several universal relations will be introduced in this talk. In addition, how to construct the universal relations will be discussed.
