Abstract

I will report some of my recent work in planetary and stellar sciences. They are Ohmic dissipation for tidal evolution in binary system, wave transmission in planetary or stellar interior, radius anomaly of hot Jupiters, stellar convection dynamo, and tidal dynamo in close-in binaries.

Biography

Xing Wei is a professor in BNU. He studied BS and MS in Tsinghua and PhD in Cambridge. Before joining BNU he worked in ETH, Gottingen, Princeton and SJTU.
