Description
Abstract

In this talk, I will summarize a few interesting topics of gravitational wave astrophysics based on my recent research: 1) electromagnetic and gravitational wave signatures of stellar-mass compact object mergers, and their potential applications in distinguishing heavy neutron stars vs light black holes, and in identifying the formation channels of these mergers, 2) formation of extreme mass ratio inspirals and their applications in cosmology and astrophysics, 3) detection prospects of primordial stochastic gravitational wave background by LISA.
