Strongly coupled electronic systems are often found at the brink of quantum phase transition, a regime where conventional mechanisms no longer apply. In some situations one observes Strange Metal features, which include linear-T resistivity and other violations of Fermi Liquid Theory, even for reasonably good conductors. In other cases, similarly puzzling yet somewhat different behavior is found in the Bad Metal regime in poor conductors and at high- temperatures, where metallic-like behavior persists even well above the Mott-Ioffe-Regel limit. Despite years of effort, many fundamental questions remain: Are Strange Metals and Bad Metals only two sides of the same paradigm, or are they complete different and unrelated phenomena? Are these phenomena a result of strong electronic correlations, or the effects of disorder and inhomogeneity must be considered as well?
